Meet Becky — The Woman
Behind the Bikes

My love affair with The Loop

Meet Becky

Hi, I’m Becky!

I’m a proud graduate of the University of Illinois, an outdoors woman, and a devout, dorky gearhead. I’ve ridden Ride the Rockies and RAGBRAI over the years, but I still get just as much satisfaction from putting a beautiful bike on the stand, getting everything dialed in, and making the bike hum.

I love zoning out, working on bikes, making the gears purr. I love Tucson — because around here, the bike…the road… is just the beginning of the adventure.

I absolutely adore the Tucson Loop. Not simply for the riding, but for everything you discover along the way – unique people, birding opps, the murals, hiking Catalina State Park, patio dining.

I’ve spent days riding along the Santa Cruz looking for birds, exploring the wetlands and preserves, heading north through Marana, visiting the farmers markets at Rillito Park and Steam Pump Ranch in Oro Valley, or just meeting friends for coffee at Ren Coffee House.

And one of my favorite adventures is getting on a bike and just following the Loop north through Oro Valley and all the way toward Catalina State Park, watching Tucson gradually give way to some of the most beautiful Sonoran Desert scenery anywhere.

That’s what I want Rillito Loop Bike Rentals to be about: turning YOU on to 137 miles plus of car-free adventure in the city that is known as The Cycling Capital of the World.

Of course, I love bikes. I love working on them, talking about them and making sure they’re running beautifully. And I didn’t want to create a business that’s only about renting someone a bicycle.

I want to help people discover Tucson – the greatest cycling destination in the world.

Maybe it’s a family spending a day together. Maybe it’s someone visiting Tucson for the first time. Maybe you’ve lived here for 30 years and suddenly discover someplace along the Loop that you never knew existed.
Stop for coffee. Visit a farmers market. Watch the birds. Meet somebody interesting. Ride farther than you thought you would. Take pictures. Have lunch. Explore.
And start a Tucson Loop love affair.
That’s what makes running a Loop bike business so much fun for me. I get to meet Tucson locals and people visiting from all over the country and the world — and then help send them to experience this incredible place that we’re fortunate enough to call home.

For me, it’s never been just about the bike.

The bike is how the adventure begins.
I look forward to seeing you here in Tucson on the beautiful, amazing Tucson Loop!
